Both Brice & I (Rachel) are avid outdoors-men, each hunting and fishing Colorado from young ages. We have been wanting to bring our love of food & our outdoor hobbies together for some time now. Both being entrepreneurs, we came to realize we can actually make a dream of ours come true by putting our heads together. The Bunkhouse was created over many late-night beers & in-depth conversations.
The Bunkhouse Trailer serves classic smoked BBQ as well as introducing wild game to people’s palettes. Our goal is to show people how delicious elk, beef, wild and domesticated hog can really be. We will offer scratch made sides & desserts to compliment our smoked meats & wild game. And are working to have a mobile liquor license in the future.
Rachel is an award winning chef born & raised in Brighton, Colorado. She has been working in the Food & Beverage Industry for over 9 years now. She currently owns & operates a catering business called High Country Catering. She has won 2017 & 2018 Best Appetizer of Adams County, and won the 2018 Start Up North Adams County Pitch Competition. Rachel competed on a Food network Series called Super Market Stakeout (Season 1, episode 6) and missed winning by just one vote! She is excited to further her food career, and can’t wait to bring her skills & flair to The Bunkhouse.
Brice was raised on prime deer hunting country in Lamar, Colorado. He has been doing reclamation in the Oil & Gas industry for over 13 years. While having to travel for many months out of the year for work, he began to experiment with his Traeger Pellet Smoker. With his secret seasoning blend, it wasn’t long before he could smoke a steak better than anyone else we knew. Brice has a natural knack for cooking and brings not only his business knowledge but BIG flavor to The Bunkhouse.
